Look. A Trailer. I wonder how it got here.

Saturday, September 9th, 2006

My pretties. Oz here right here next to me, so you can all say hi to him.

~pause~

Moving on. We’ve had an awesome time here, and we’ve recorded like… every second of it. For your benefit of course. Ahem. Yours. We’re currently under the movie-making process (which takes hours) and have decided to put up the series’ trailer. We hope you enjoy. Hell, you better enjoy.

Just so you get the jist of it, the trailer is meant to expose the aforementioned differences between he and I. My stuff is on the right, oz’s stuff is on the left. There will be more. And I must say… they are brilliant.

The Easy Vibe

Saturday, September 9th, 2006

-Reggles: I don’t eat in the morning.

-Oz: Nor do I… Let me have a poptart to quench my hunger.

4 hours later.

-Oz: I never got a Pop Tart! Can you believe that? In this day and age. Honestly.

I think I’ve developed an aaaall new laugh now that Oz is here. It just sounds different, you know? I’m like HOH HA HO HA HA HOA HO HA. I don’t really know why this is happening but yeah, it has. Sometimes, I’m sure he’s a bit freaked out by it at times. It’s just EXPLOSIVE, so out of nowhere, I’ll just burst out with my “HOH HA HO HA HA HOA HO HA.”

“Whut are you laughing at?”

”Nothing.”

Lots of videos and pictures to show the world… but is the world ready for dis? ~shakes ass~ Oohhh yes. Oz tends to record completely uninteresting things. He finds them interesting. I do not. For example, this afternoon, Mr. Oz decided to follow a lizard around the hotel pool area. A lizard. I’m like “Oz, stop recording the lizard, no one wants to see that.”

He doesn’t listen, though. Last night, he waited for lightning flashes with the camera on, so that he could record the lightning flash. Wasted film, honestly.

The experience has been simply awesome and very much surreal. It’s very interesting to see him right there next to me, because I’m so used to seeing him on my computer screen, you know? It’s almost a bit celebrity-ish-ish.

Yes, it’s awesome. It’s strange. It’s fantastic. Every day is a new experience. Every day is a new story, a new chapter in the Easy Vibe book. With every morning, comes a new adventure, and with every moon there comes a new conversation. I find myself wondering sometimes “How is this possible?” This friendship, this bond. Beyond a friendship, more like a brotherhood, the Easy Vibe has found a balance in Oz and me meeting.

At times I find myself simply staring at him while I watch him do his own thing [I don’t want him to get bored of me lol]. He plays around very freely and in that, I find amusement. Today, as I watched him run around the beach making different figures as his feet hit the sand, it hit me. And in that moment, I understood… how lucky I am. He helps me be me. He is one of the most inspiring people I have met, and probably will ever meet. I realized how impossible it is for Oz to be a coincidence. I am further able to appreciate and understand that this friendship was meant to happen. We’re two different people, from very two very different places. Somehow, we found each other. And when I look at him I am amazed… because I found a best friend.

And as we walked on the beach, I would look at him and there he was, Oz, my friend from the internet. There he was, in all his 6’1 splendor. Only, he wasn’t just my friend Oz from the internet. It’s as if we’ve known each other for years. I realize, everything has changed. I will never be able to look at Oz the same way, nor think of him the same way. I’ve met him now.

I’ve always thought that when you become such good friends with someone online, the friendship is always going to be very different and feel very different. Because of a simple reason… you’ve skipped a step. A normal step: meeting the person. Now that I’ve met Oz, things have changed. Obviously, things have changed for the better lol. Our friendship is solid, and in that, I find great comfort.

We’ve waited for this moment for a long time! And here we are, at the Hyatt in Dorado, Puerto Rico. Finally! The memories will last forever. This has been the most memorable, incredible thing I’ve ever done, and I’ve made sure to treat it with the utmost respect, care, and importance. And if ever we forget something, there will always be pictures to remind us of the moments spent, of the conversations had, of the people met, of the things done; of the things eaten, the jokes made, the smiles expressed, and the beauty that I find in my friendship with Oz.

The Proceedings, so far

Thursday, September 7th, 2006

I have arrived! We were finally united late last night after my epic 12-hour [completely inefficient] journey. You see, for some crazy reason, I was taken on three airplanes going all the way to Philidelphia from Atlanta, GA THEN back down on a 4hour flight to San Juan. That is where we met. And it happened thus:

The suspense was unreal, surreal. There I was waiting for my bag to be ejected onto the baggage carousel. It happened to be one of the late ones. But at least I had it now. The first worry was over. The next was figuring out where on earth I was, besides from San Juan. I had no idea where we were meeting! So I kind of casually browsed outside through the windows of the terminal as people stood looking in. I did not see Regner.

I was heading towards the next “meeting area” when I just had an urge to go out the exit nearer to me, where the people were waiting. Upon attempting to exit a woman grabs me and proclaims in Spainish something I could not comprehend [I do not speak spanish]. Therefore I assumed she was a taxi lady or such like. But in fact she wanted to check that the bag I had struggled along with was mine. So I had to route for the barcode thing for it, which I did promptly as I was eager to find my brother. Who I did not yet know existed.

[OK I did write this post like yesterday but the laptop died and I thought that I had lost the whole thing. It just had enough juice to boot back up and allowed me to save it for now. I am in a hotel/resort called Hyatt something or other, running on FREE Bribed internet from our buddy ‘Miggie’. We befriended her and convinced her to talk to her manager to get us a free pass to it, which costs $5.25 normally for the 15 minutes we have obtained! Yeah, Miggie is hardcore.]

Anyway more will come in good time. We have LOTS of footage and photographs for your future viewing pleasure. We love you. 3 minutes left. Adios.
