Introducing two crazy students - oz is from the UK and Reggles is from Puerto Rico (USA). And with this website we aim to proclaim the easy vibe.

What is “the easy vibe”?

Right back at the start when we first starting talking, we were commenting on how stressed the world seems to be in this modern age. The time of enjoying life for what it is has long been lost and replaced by a mass rush to riches and fame. Nothing wrong with that, as long as the essence of happiness and living is not overwritten. The “easy vibe” is what needs to be re-injected into today’s people so that the real values of life can be pushed back into our world.

Everybody gets stressed. We just need to put things into perspective. Take a step back. Look at the wider picture. The easy vibe is about living.

The easy vibe series

Regner & oz met online in March 2006. They immediately had something in common and would chat almost daily for months. That summer oz was heading over to America with family and figured that whilst he was over there it would be awesome to hop down to Puerto Rico and stay with Regner for a week. Of course Regner agreed and got terribly excited, as he often does. But this is was a big deal to both of them. They had never met in person before, there backgrounds’ and lifestyles’ were entirely different and so there was a lot at stake for two strangers to be living side-by-side for seven days.

The thing is, it clicked. On September 4 2006 oz finally landed in San Juan. Regner was waiting anxiously outside the Terminal before oz eventually came out and they met. Immediately it was as if they had known each other for “600 years”, as they became artificial brothers.

Every day of the experience was documented [in hope that MTV would produce it. they didn’t.] and then production began in a hotel room on Regner’s laptop until the early hours. The rest of the epic footage would have to wait to be edited after the week was up. A YouTube account was registered and the first episode was made live on September 20 2006. We hope you enjoy the series, and the easy vibe phenomenon.

Previously

oziz came about as a personal website for my own learning of web development and design. I get alot out of the internet and this site, it is an addictive technology. oziz was first founded in February 2002, since then there have been dozens of layouts and themes I have come up with but all moving progressively to a more refined and contemporary style. I am a sucker for the latest trends and I try and push them further. My fuel is curiosity, imagination and inspiration.

Currently oziz is powered by Wordpress, a blogging content mangagement system (CMS). I love it. In the past, when such open source software wasn’t around, I developed my own CMS in PHP for this website but open source is much more beneficial now.

The site has always been a blog (weblog) really. Mostly about my life, there isn’t much structure - or consistency! This year I found Reggles (Regner) on MySpace. We are great. And now he is a part of this website as we explore the differences and similarities between the UK and Puerto Rico.

Since the age of 12 I have developed a taste of Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Photoshop, Flash, 3D Studio Max, Cinema 4D and ws-ftp pro to aid my work. I am competent in (x)HTML, CSS and PHP. Alongside these I sometimes delve into Javascript and Ajax :)

Contact

MSN and e-Mail: oz[at]oziz.co.uk

Read what oz and Reggles have to say for themselves!
