oziz Photo Feed: Iceland 2003 Album

Clouds. This is what Iceland was like for the last few days, although I still had as much fun. On the way home... (glacier in the back). At last, didn\'t realise I took so many photos! Apart from these, I also went kayaking and horse treking (I can\'t ride for crap!). Even though it was like only a week I still had a packed holiday and it made a change from the usual laze about and take the sun, I actually did something this time! The people are really nice and the food is good - but very expensive! So next time you wanna fly away, try Iceland! Just for me.. Awesome splash. I feel for the fish - can you believe some guy was fishing here? Not sure he caught much.

This is one of the hostels we were staying in. We stayed here for 2 nights. They are cheap and very nice. The first night a random Ram charged into the kitchen area where we were sitting. It was quite arrogant and took chairs and a lot of noise to fight it off! Remember to close all the doors.

This was not far from the start of the off-roadness. There\'s the Terrano... and excuse my mum... yeah, just pretend she\'s not there.

Awesome colours. There is loads of iron in the soil around Iceland, so it gives the land the red look.

This is the area we went Quad Biking. Miles of flat, smooth sand and all the small slopes, streams and jumps beside the sea. Great fun! There is an old US Plane wreck along this beach which was quite cool. The sand here, by the way, is black because of the volcanic eruptions. It is essentially fine, broken up lava.

These were like holes into the ground which sulfur was released from because of all the volcanic stuff under the ground. It stinks, like rotten eggs.

The water is like 4Â°c+ right now, but can be well below freezing. The icebergs here melt at a higher temperature than 0Â°c because the ice is so compact after thousands of years in the glacier.

This was the opposite mountain to the above, pretty jagged.

A lot of the black material here is dirt from the banks. It is melting here into a lake then into the sea.
